Our Team

Brian Nephew

Brian has been with Johnson Brunetti since 2005. As Chief Operating Officer, he leads our Specialist and New Business Team and processes all our insurance business. His team handles new business and outstanding service requests to assure they are handled in a timely manner. He expedites transfers of assets and provides solutions to our clients. Brian is instrumental in supporting the advisors on the insurance business and making sure things run smoothly.

Brian is a sports enthusiast who coaches both his son and daughter’s travel basketball teams. Running and hiking is a favorite pastime and he has completed multiple 100-mile ultramarathons.

Peggy Mangone

Peggy has had many responsibilities over her ten years with Johnson Brunetti.  She has processed new business and provided customer service to our clients.  Peggy is now our Chief Compliance Officer. She has over 25 years of financial industry experience.  Peggy is responsible for all regulatory filings with the SEC.  She works closely with our advisors to be compliant with industry regulations.  As CCO, she keeps JB Capital, LLC current and compliant with what is happening in our industry.

Peggy enjoys spending time near the ocean and boating with her husband, Rick.  They reside in Southington, CT.

Chris Talia

Chris joined the Customer Specialist and New Business Development Team at Johnson Brunetti in 2012. Chris is responsible for managing the operational and administrative details of accounts as well as responding to service questions. Her experience, professionalism and knowledge make her a trusted and dependable resource to our clients.

Chris has many interests including reading, cooking and baking, and spending time at the beach. She and her husband are officially empty nesters as they just sent the last of their 4 children off to college.

Dona Smith

Dona joined the Customer Specialist and New Business Development Team of Johnson Brunetti in 2013. She was previously a branch manager at a bank. As a New Business Specialist, Dona is very happy to be part of the Johnson Brunetti family and utilize her customer service background helping our clients with their needs and questions.

Growing up the child of two professional ballroom dancers, Dona learned how to Rumba, Foxtrot, Waltz and Swing Dance at a very young age. Dona enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their 3 children.

Diane Alden

Diane joined the Customer Specialist and New Business Development Team in June 2016. She is responsible for managing the operational and administrative details of accounts, as well as responding to client service questions. Diane entered the banking industry in 1994.

Diane has 4 children and loves to cook and travel when she has spare time. She traveled to the Canary Islands and experienced an active volcano on the island of Tenerife.

Robin Lentz

Robin joined Johnson Brunetti in 2013 and currently oversees the Client Relations Team. With many years of experience at People’s United Bank, Robin has a great knack for multitasking and handling the demanding schedules of our advisors. Robin helps manage our education workshops which are held throughout the year.

Robin loves to travel and enjoys spending free time at the beach.  She is an animal lover and currently has 6 cats.

Jordan McLaughlin

Jordan has almost a decade of customer service experience and strives to build and maintain lasting customer and peer relationships. As an Appointment Coordinator since 2016, she possesses strong communication and analytical skills and can easily establish rapport with people from all backgrounds and ages.

Jordan likes visiting new places, hiking and enjoying the beach. As part of her thesis for her master’s degree, Jordan started a food pantry at Asnuntuck Community College

Scott Milford

Scott has over 10 years vested in the financial services industry. He has called upon his background in investment banking, retirement planning and investment management quite frequently since joining the firm in 2017. Scott holds his Life, Accident and Health Insurance license. Most recently, Scott was Director of Operations for a retirement planning firm in Connecticut, where he was instrumental in the rapid growth of the firm.

Scott’s hobbies include fitness and wellness, golf, traveling and reading. Prior to Johnson Brunetti, Scott spent a year living and working in Tel Aviv for a leading venture capital firm.

Laurie Tobias

Laurie is Chief Marketing Officer for Johnson Brunetti.  Laurie joined the firm in 2010 and her team is responsible for all marketing and public relations activities, as well as client appreciation events, educational events, referral events and workshops. She works closely with our media contacts and is also in charge of developing and maintaining all our marketing materials, website, social media, sponsorships and advertising. Laurie is always looking for opportunities to grow awareness of our firm in the marketplace among our clients and the community at large.

Laurie enjoys running and biking and has participated in numerous races. She also loves to travel and volunteers to help underprivileged high school kids navigate the college application process.

Nina Demeter

Nina joined Johnson Brunetti in 2017 and has been working in the marketing and advertising industry for the past 5 years. Her social media savvy and digital marketing proficiency will help enhance Johnson Brunetti’s position within the industry. In addition to her enthusiasm and passion for marketing, she brings over a decade of experience in customer service and sales to Johnson Brunetti.

Nina is a multi-talented individual who loves to sing, read, and craft in her spare time. She enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their two puppies. Prior to working at Johnson Brunetti, Nina worked for an all-natural skincare company called Simple Sugars which grew overnight after securing a deal with Mark Cuban on Shark Tank.

Christine Hurley

Christine works in our Marketing department. She seamlessly coordinates all our educational workshops as well as lending her expertise and talents with our other client appreciation events. Since her 2012 start date, our clients have had the experience of hearing Christine’s friendly voice on the other side.

Christine enjoys spending time with her family…. husband, 2 daughters and 2 rescue dogs. She enjoys running and fitness and has completed numerous marathons and races of all distances.

Cindy Kretzmer

Cindy is a member of the Marketing Team and has been instrumental in managing the multiple requests for marketing materials as well as handling the details of our Investment Summit meetings. Her attention to detail and professionalism has been a key factor in the success of many of our marketing initiatives. Cindy joined Johnson Brunetti in 2013.

Cindy loves Cape Cod, old houses and spending time with her husband and two boys. She loves to be healthy and has competed in 4 sprint triathlons which include swimming, biking and running.

Michele Kridler

Michele joined Johnson Brunetti in 2017 and brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of marketing communications, analysis, event planning, and operations. During her career, she has held many management positions within the business sector and nonprofit world. Michele’s mix of creativity, professionalism, and exceptional communication skills has been extremely helpful in the execution of many of our events and projects.

Michele loves the beach and warm weather. In her spare time, she thoroughly enjoys watching her children compete in their various sports and activities.

Kate Bedard

Kate joined our team as Director of First Impressions. In her role since 2016, Kate is the initial point of contact for our clients coming into the Wethersfield office and has helped efficiently manage the day-to-day operations. Kate has outstanding customer service skills and has worked in various customer service-focused roles over the past few years. Her positive demeanor brings a smile to all of the clients she interacts with on a daily basis.

Kate loves to bake, cook, going to trivia nights and spending time with family and friends.

Carol O'Neill

Carol joined the Johnson Brunetti team in 2016. She contributes over 15 years of business support and customer service experience. Being one of the first points of contact for Johnson Brunetti at the Wethersfield office, she works with customers diligently and efficiently while juggling various administrative duties.

In her spare time, Carol likes to read classic literature, playing games with family and friends and is a refined cook and baker. She is attempting to hike 100 beautiful state parks and forests throughout the state of Connecticut.

Brianna Smalley

Brianna is the Project Manager and Executive Assistant to Managing Partner, Joel Johnson, CFP®. She works closely supporting Joel on a variety of projects which continue to grow and develop Johnson Brunetti as a premier retirement and investment company. Brianna brings her experience from positions held in the financial industry, public relations and legal advocacy fields.

Brianna is a lover of the arts and has been known to get lost in her paintings whether it be abstract art or beautiful sunsets. She also rekindled her love of dancing and began ballet a few years ago. Brianna has two small children and loves creating new adventures for them.
